Jay Robinson Middle School from Charlotte captured the 3rd annual middle school championship at Siler City Country Club. Robinson's today total of 637 was good for a 32 stroke victory over Cramerton Middle on Cramerton. The Robinson team was lead by Ryan Vince who tied for lost in a playoff to James Ellis of Greenville, NC. Both players finished with a two-day total of 1 over par 145. Round 1 leader Justin Clement of Tyro Middle and Robert Hoadley of New Century finished 1 shot behind the leaders. In the girls division, Courtney Taylor of Belmont Middle won the girls division by 10 shots over Sarah Almond of Endy Middle and Molly Plomartis of Kiser Middle. The N.C. Middle School Championship is a Tarheel Youth Golf Association annual for junior golfers in the 6th, 7th or 8th grades.
