Final Results

Raleigh, NC—18 holes was not enough golf to determine the 2007 NC High School Invitational. In the team event, Green Hope High School from Cary finished tied with Ravenscroft School of Raleigh, both finishing with a team total of 296. Green Hope then captured the team title when the tie was broken by using the fifth team member’s score. Forsyth Country Day from Lewisville finished third with a team total of 304.

The individual title was determined in an on course playoff. Ryan Sullivan of Forsyth Country Day School of Lewisville, NC defeated Kevin O’Connell of Green Hope High School of Cary on the third playoff hole. Both players finished with rounds of 2 under par 69. Finishing tied for third place with rounds of even par 71 were Jack Fields of Pinecrest HS in Pinehurst and Tommy Gibson of East Surry HS in Pilot Mountain.

The NC High School Invitational was hosted by the Donald Ross designed Raleigh Country Club, a McConnell Golf property. This event featured the 2006 state champion and runner up team from the public and private schools.

The NC High School Invitational is conducted by the Tarheel Youth Golf Association.
