Cutter Creek to Host 3rd TYGA Bojangles Junior Open

 
Southern Pines, NC – The Tarheel Youth Golf Association (TYGA) is excited to announce the return of the TYGA Bojangles Junior Open hosted by Cutter Creek.

The 36-hole stroke play event is scheduled to be played on June 3-4, 2017. The boys’ only event is open to the first 84 junior boys ages 13-18. There will be three age divisions, Boys’ 13-14, Boys’ 15-16 and Boys’ 17-18, with all participants playing from the same tees.  The top 10 in the boys’ overall division will receive exemptions into the 13th Dogwood Junior Championship. This event will be used for rankings for both TYGA and Junior Golf Scoreboard.
 
Cutter Creek Golf Club is located in the plains of Snow Hill, NC. The course was designed by Bob Moore of JMP Golf Design. Positioned close to both Kinston and Greenville, NC the golf course is laid out over 220 acres. Cutter Creek Golf Club has quickly become one of the toughest tests of golf in Eastern, NC.
 
Registration closes for The TYGA Bojangles Junior Open on May 26th at 11:59PM.
 
DATES
June 3-4, 2017

FORMAT
The championship format is 36-hole individual stroke play.
 
YARDAGES
All divisions will play from the TYGA tees at an approximate distance of 7,164(par 72).

AGE DIVISIONS

Boys will compete in two divisions. There will be a 13-14 division, 15-16 division and a 15-18 division. They will play from the same tees. 
 
ELIGIBILITY
Entry is open to any male amateur golfer ages 13-18 as of June 3, 2017, who has not started college, is a legal resident of North Carolina.
 
PRIZES
Trophies are awarded to the champion, runner-up, and third place in both age divisions.
