Brown & Rogers Claim Victory at the 32^nd Roy Jones Junior

Kinston, N.C. (JULY 19, 2017) – Final round results from the Tarheel Youth Golf Association’s 32^nd Roy Jones Junior Classic at Kinston Country Club located in Kinston, N.C. on July 18-19, 2017.

Nicolas Brown of Wendell, N.C. finished the final round with his second consecutive two under, 69, for a two day total of 138 (-4), to win the Boys’ Division of the 32^nd Roy Jones Junior.  Nicolas came into the second round tied atop the leaderboard with Casey Osiecki of New Bern, N.C. who shot a four over, 75, to end with a two day total of 144. Tyler Dechellis of Clayton, N.C. made a run in the middle of his round, making birdies on holes five, seven, and eleven, to move himself into a solo second in the overall boys’ 14-18 division.

Jayla Rogers of Wilmington, N.C. fired a second round, three over, 74 to clinch a six shot victory over Trinity Ahing of New Bern, N.C. the Girls’ Division of the 32^nd Roy Jones Junior.

Boy’s 16-18 Age Division

Nicolas Brown of Wendell, N.C. shoots a second consecutive 69, to win the Boys’ 16-18 Division by four, over Charlie Tate of Greensboro, N.C.

Boy’s 14-15 Age Division

Tyler DeChelllis of Clayton, N.C. finished with a second round, two under, 69 for a two day total of 141. This was enough to win the Boys’ 14-15 Division  by three over Casey Osiecki of New Bern, N.C.

Boy’s 12-13 Age Division

Matthew Richardson of Ayden, N.C. fires a two day total of 150 to win the Boys’ 12-13 Division.

11 & Under

Michael Williams, of Rose Hill N.C. wins the 11 & Under Division with a total of 59 points. The 11 & Under Division uses a modified Stableford scoring system.  

Girl’s 14-18 Age Division

Jayla Rogers of Wilmington, N.C. fired a second round, three over, 74 to clinch a six shot victory over Trinity Ahing of New Bern, N.C. the Girls’ Division of the 32^nd Roy Jones Junior.
