RALEIGH, N.C. (July 22, 2021) -- Final results from the 32nd TYGA Jack Ratz, Jr. Memorial at Wildwood Green Golf Club, Raleigh, N.C. on July 22, 2021. Boys’ high school played from 6200-6800 yards, Boys’ middle school played from 5000-5500 yards, Girls’ high school played from 5,000-5,500 yards, Girls’ middle school played from 5,000 yards. (Par 35-35--70)

Xan Pitt of Wake Forest, N.C. earned medalist for the Boys’ 12-13 age division scoring 1-over-par, 71. Chase Duncan of Raleigh, N.C. finished runner-up with 3-over-par, 73.

In the Boys’ 14-15 flight, Will Guidry of Winterville, N.C. came in first with a 3-over-par, 73. Luke Mueller of Wake Forest, N.C. came in second with a 4-over-par, 74.

In the Boys’ 16-18 flight, Brant Dattilo of Wake Forest, N.C. was the medalist with a 1-under-par, 69. Nick Kleu of Cary, N.C. finished runner-up with even-par, 70.

In the Girls’ flight, Sadler Miller of Clayton, N.C. was the low medalist with a 5-over-par, 75. Sloane Spessard of Raleigh, N.C. finished runner-up with a 7-over-par, 77.

The Top 3 in the boys overall (14-15 & 16-18 combined) received exemptions for the 2021 Dogwood State Junior. The Top 3 boys receiving exemptions for the 2021 Dogwood State Junior are as follows:

  • Brant Dattilo of Wake Forest, N.C.

  • Nick Kleu of Cary, N.C.

  • Will Guidry of Winterville, N.C.

 Invitations for the Tournament of Champions will be extended to all division winners in each TYGA one day series event. Entry is open to any female and male amateur golfer ages 12-18 as of the date of the tournament, who has not started college and is a legal resident of North Carolina.

About the Tarheel Youth Golf Association (TYGA)

       

 

The Tarheel Youth Golf Association (TYGA), a division of the Carolinas Golf Association, a 501 (c) 3 organization, provides playing opportunities for its members, conducts educational seminars and events, acts as a junior golf informational clearinghouse, provides free USGA handicaps to junior golfers in North Carolina, recruits sponsor clubs that grant junior access to golf facilities in North Carolina, publishes monthly North Carolina junior rankings, and awards Junior Player of the Year and All-State awards to the top juniors in North Carolina. Membership is open to any boy or girl who are legal residents of N.C; are 18 years of age and under; and who have not started college.
